We’re delighted to host a one-off special Early Doors: 20 Years on Q&A fundraiser for the club with several original cast members at Broadhurst Park from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday 24th March and you can buy your tickets now.
Local broadcasting legends Eamonn O’Neal and Jimmy Wagg will pose the questions to the cast from the cult comedy classic, including FCUM Radio’s very own James Quinn (Phil) and his crime cracking police partner Peter Wight (Nige).
The Grapes landlord Ken – played by John Henshaw, who’s also an FC United fan – will be on duty to keep his regulars Phil Mealey (Duffy), Sue Cookson (Tanya), Sue McCardle (Nicola), and Lisa Millett (Debbie) on their best behaviour.
We’re extremely grateful to all of the cast, and the presenters, for giving up their free time to help raise funds for our club. All nine are currently confirmed, subject to availability on the big day. We're also very grateful to Early Doors creators Craig Cash and Phil Mealey for allowing us to host this event.
Behind-the-scenes stories
They’ll talk about the sitcom, live tour and share the behind-the-scenes stories from some of their favourite clips from the 12 episodes, which were first broadcast on the BBC from May 2003 to October 2004.
To make the afternoon as accessible as possible, whilst also raising a decent sum of money for the club, there are 200 tickets available with three different prices.
Tickets on sale now:
- £50 for a premium ticket – which comes with the chance to meet and greet the cast from 3pm, one hour before the show starts, and a table seat.
- £35 for a standard ticket – which also guarantees a table seat.
- £20 for a standing ticket – for those that believe seating is cheating!
Buy your tickets now for a unique afternoon of fun, laughter and nostalgia, whilst helping to raise money for the club, as our Main Stand Bar becomes The Grapes for one afternoon only. Please note: no-one will be allowed into the backroom to smoke funny cigarettes, not even Phil or Nige.
